Danijel Galek is the head of the tax department at Grant Thornton Croatia. He graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, majoring in management, and in 2011, he obtained his master's degree from the same faculty, majoring in accounting and auditing. Since 2023, Danijel has also been a certified tax advisor. As the head of the tax department, Danijel provides expert advice to our clients on the application of tax regulations, focusing on value-added tax, income tax, and corporate tax.
He gained extensive experience during his work at the Ministry of Finance, with a focus on value-added tax. During Croatia's Presidency of the EU Council, he led the Croatian team in amendments to EU Directives related to VAT and also writes expert articles on tax and accounting topics.
